The Church of Saint Bride

An extraordinary interpretation of a classical temple, designed in 1830 by Samuel Rowland. This is the entrance portico to Percy Street, with six massive Ionic columns.

The Church of Saint Bride

"I am impressed by the work that has gone into assimilating information on an area of great historical interest. If anyone gets the chance, have a look at St Brides Church and check out the egyptianate windows and 'free pews' which remain intact. Also another Liverpool gem exist around the corner at St Margaret's Toxteth - a testament to Victorian high church, tractarian influence. Keep up the good work!"
